Free write

This senior year has been pretty good so far. We've been doing alot of school work and alot more college work,  it's alittle tiring and stressful but it will all be worth it soon. I've gotten accepted to a few colleges so far and felt like the happiest man in the world but I know I got to keep my grades up and continue to pass my classes. Other than that  we will be going into a new year in a few more weeks and I'm just happy that me and my loved ones will be seeing another year. Sport's wise, this year my teams aren't doing so good like my Knicks and jets. Hopefully going into the new year they will get it together. I'm also trying to get a job so I can help my parents pay for college and to have some pocket money for myself. I honestly just can't wait too graduate and get out of  Thurgood Marshall Academy. I will be visiting some old teachers and students though cause I will miss high school. I'm running out of ideas and things to write about so this is the end of my free write!!

Forensics Class

This is my first year taking forensics and so far i am enjoying the class. Ms. Bartoli is a cool and funny teacher that keeps the class interesting at times. We have been taught the steps needed to process a crime scene and who secures the scene. We learned about different search methods like the strip or line search, the spiral search method, the grid method, quadrant or zone search, elevation zone search and the overlapping zone search. We also was taught how to collect evidence and the different packaging materials used to collect evidence. We was told about an autopsy and how to perform one and why you should perform one and the different levels of one. You can determine the time of death with 3 types of mortis: Livor mortis, the process that the body's blood supply stops moving after the heart stops pumping. Rigor mortis, stiffening of the body after death (usually begins 2 hours after death) and the Algor mortis which is the reduction of the body temperature after death. And what we last learned was the life cycle stages of a blowfly. And that is why i like my Forensics class so far.

Favorite Text

There are alot of wonderful books out there that honestly make a good read. From children books , too adult books they will catch your eye and keep you reading on and on.  Some good books to me are Graphic novels. Graphic novels are fictional stories that are presented in comic strip format and published as a book. Sometimes they tell a single, continous narrative from the first page to the last page; sometimes they are collections of shorter stories or individual comic strips. Many comics and graphic novels emphasize drama, adventure, character development, striking visuals, politics or romance. My favorite graphic novels are the ones about super heroes for example Spider Man, The Avengers, etc. I just love all the action and suspense that are put into these books, it keeps me interested and makes me wanna read more and more. I still too this very day read graphic novels and still enjoy them as much as I did when I was younger.

Class Related Response

Today was a smooth and cool day in English class. We all Participated in a Socratic Seminar, where we talked about the book  "Fahrenheit 451". A Socratic Seminar is a scholarly discussion of an essential question in which student opinions are shared, proven, refuted, and refined through dialogue with other students. Since we usually have a large class we did The fishbowl format, In this format , the teacher selects a portion of the class to sit in a circle or just as a group in the center of the room where they will discuss the articles for about 15 minutes. While this conversation is going on, the students in the outer circle take notes on the students in the inner circle. Students seated in the outer circle remain quiet during the inner group’s discussion. In a Socratic seminar, the students take responsibility for leading the conversation, and the teacher spectates. We also had a guest today watching us and seeing how we do in a Socratic Seminar. The Seminar was a little rusty and they but i think if they had a better question to answer they would've done even better.

My Passion Blog

I am very passionate about football and basketball or just sports in general. I love talking about it, reading about it, researching it, Etc. I love it even more when i'm watching it. Both sports are  unpredictable and very exciting. Some games make you feel like your in the crowd or even court side cheering. And most games can bring the family together like The Super Bowl or The NBA Playoffs/Finals. Also a lot of people look up to the athletes that play in these sports for example Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony Or some star football players Such as Eli Manning, J.J Watt, and Calvin Johnson. I'm also very Passionate about being Successful and something big in life. I wanna be remembered for generation after generation. I want too inspire people i want someone to say "Because of you i didn't give up".
